"ALAS" by Julie Falk and Trine Struwe 29.05 – 19.06 2020

SIRIN Gallery is pleased to host Alas, an exhibition by Julie Falk and Trine Struwe (29th of May – 19th June 2020).
Alas is a result of a collaborative process between Julie Falk and Trine Struwe Hansen.
Responding to the current social and political context, the show will explore patterns of interdependency, distancing and movement (the time when the invisible becomes visible is at hand). In conjunction with the exhibition, artist Ville Laurinkoski will present a new performance work.
Due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and the need to restrict social gatherings, we are planning a virtual opening on the 29th of May and the show will hereafter be open by appointment. Hopefully some restrictions will be lifted by that time.
The exhibition has received the support of Frederiksberg Fonden.
In conjunction with opening of the exhibition ALAS, Finnish artist Ville Laurinkoski created a text piece and presented a new performance work over the phone from his apartment in Helsinki. See more about the performance here.
