Gabriel Bott
Gabriel Bott is working mostly with sculpture, installation, and video. Bott’s practice explores the link between religion and pseudo-science, historical tradition and current socio-political thought – such as in concepts relating to self-determination and preservation. He frequently uses industrial material in large-scale installations to explore these ideas. In other works made with 3D animation software, characters appear who navigate these separate but similar worlds, invoking Bott’s interest in the avatar – whether it be digital, physical, spiritual, or social – to suggest potential, promise, and malleability.
Gabriel Bott is a recent graduate of The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and his works have been exhibited in several international shows, among others in Stockholm and Lisbon.
