Alejandro Urrutia - MÁS DECO Interview
We are happy to share an interview from Chilean Más Deco magazine where Alejandro Urrutia describes his exploration of new forms and materials together with cycles of creative reflection. Now there are curves, other volumes and a balance that marks an authentic aesthetic proposal.
Here is a excerpt from this conversation:
"You have lived three years very nourished as a sculptor. What have been the milestones of your career?
…(One of them was).meeting Natalia Enge, owner of Sirin Gallery in Copenhagen, she liked and believed in my work. Last March I exhibited at her gallery, and in August I was represented by Sirin at CHART Art Fair, which is a very important fair in Scandinavia.
What comes next?
We are thinking of moving to Berlin to start something new. I will keep working with Sirin Gallery and I will go with them to Art Paris Fair, which is now postponed until the end of May. Alongside that I'll do my first solo show at Sirin Copenhagen. I will keep exploring, get into different materials like the stone, taking another turn on the circle and open up to new experiences and return to the beginning but with a greater perspective.”
